What causes Honda Civic engine to loop?

Hi,

I have an old Honda Civic 1994 1.5 LX AT. Whenever I start it on, everything goes well while the engine is cold - and it keep accelerated at about 1500 RPM.

The problem is when the engine gets warmed up, so it begin to loop by itself as if I was stepping and releasing the throttle repeatedly (RPM get nuts going back and forth between 1000 and 1500). It makes almost impossible to drive the car!

I have notice that if I unplug a part that stays behind the block (I think its name is IAC, IEYS or something like that), the engine stops to loop and stabilize but in an extremely low idle RPM and unless I put my foot in the throttle to keep it accelerated, it will stall.

There is anybody that can give me a clue about what is going on and how to fix it?

PS: I live in Brasil and it is NOT easy to find replacement parts for this car here, so I would be glad if there would a simple and cheap way to fix it. If the problem is a defective IAC (or whatever), I would be glad by simply bypassing it (although I would have to know a way to increase engine idle)...

Thanks!
