what causes flem in your throat all the time

Allergies and cloggy sinuses. The stuff drips down the back of the nose and throat and continually needs to be cleared. Try some sinus spray or OTC antihistamines.

You could be allergic to dairy products, that cause flem in your throat and for you to have a runny nose all the time. Cut al cow products from your diet, use Soya produces instead. They are more expensive to buy, but it is worth a try. If that does not work, and 3hat the other poster has said does not work then go and see your doctor who will run some tests and possibly refer you on to an Ear Nose and Throat specialist.

I agree with Blossom, mostly. Lots of people (of all races & ethnic backgrounds) cannot tolerate dairy, especially milk. It made my sinuses stuffy, and caused phlegm in my throat, and constant ear infections. Doctors didn't help me; I had to find out by myself by eliminating stuff from my diet.

I wouldn't recommend soy products; they can be irritating to your mucous membranes too. I tried them and was still stuffy. If you want something milk-like to drink, try almond or rice milk. I use a little rice milk, but not very often. I take a calcium/magnesium supplement for the calcium.

Try avoiding fruit juice, especially orange juice. Try avoiding anything cold, chilled, or icy and frozen. You may be surprised. I was!

There are factors that might cause flem in the our throat. One is if you are allergic to something and you have inhaled it's odor or sniffed it. Another one is if you have a severe cold and cold flem gets up in the throat.
