I have allergies and it seems that when the weather changes, my allergies let me know it. I get a headache, my ears feel full or stuffy and sometimes my sinuses hurt a little bit. My question is, I have heard that allergies can make you feel dizzy. What is it, exactly that makes you feel dizzy? Thanks to all who can give me info.

An emergency room docter told me that there are at least 50 different reasons for having a dizzy spell. He also said that the list for vertigo is way, way, smaller.Thank God I don't have vertigo,as that eliminates most all activities. I take a motion sickness pill twice a day,and that has been friendly to me.Inner ear disorder is something that I try to stay away from.Your sense of balance is located in the vicinity,I have been told, and physicians probably avoid that, in the middle of your head, business. Certainly! Your sinuses get congested, making you lightheaded. It can causes pressue in your ears (checkout a diagram of your head with sinuses, inner ear,etc relationships shown).

My sinuses seem to be ok, but my ears feel a little full and I hear squishy noises especially in my right ear when I push on the earlobe or lay on that ear. I feel headachy off and on but I didn't know that could make you feel dizzy at times. Come to think of it, my ear rings every now and then but didn't know why that was going on.

Welcome to the world of allergies! The fluid in your inner ear is what helps to balance you. Any time that is disrupted, dizziness can occur. People who get motion sickness are very sensitive to that shift in the fluid from the motion of the car or boat. Taking an antihistamine with a decongestant can dry up that fluid and thereby control the motion sickness.

I used to get constant dizziness and ear infections because my ear canal was blocked by edema. I ended up taking lots of Vitamin C, and eliminating milk, fruit juice, and cold fooRAB from my diet (ice cream is the absolute worst). Have you tried eliminating dairy, fruit juice (esp. orange juice), sugar and icy fooRAB? BTW I don't have to take allergy medicine anymore.
