What car is best to buy if used - ford focus OR suzuki swift OR renault megane

My personal choices, based strictly on my tastes would be:
1. Mazda 3
2. Suzuki Swift
4. Ford Focus
5. Renault Megane
Now those are my choices based on the the dealers and service places available where I live. To make a better choice, think about where you're gonna have to go to service your car. Or if you're mechanically inclined and can service it yourself...think about the cost of parts.
Where I am the cheapest parts and best service os available for the Suzuki Swift. However, there's really good service possible for the Mazda 3 BUT the parts are ridiculously expensive. The Ford Focus I'm sceptical about because I have not heard such good things about it.

if im honest im a speed freak so i would go over smiles per gallon of miles per gallon and choose the fastest car there, but with different trims it will be different engine sizes and speeds

Based on my tastes, The Renault Megane. Best dynamics of the lot, and while not necessarily the quickest the chassis on these are brilliant, the best hot hatches you can buy. If we're talking higher-spec models this is the way I'd see it:
1. RenaultSport Megane 225 Cup
2. Ford Focus ST/XR5 Turbo
3. MazdaSpeed 3/Mazda3 MPS (horrible torquesteer keeps it from second position)
4. Suzuki Swift Sport.
The Focus ST has a brilliant turbocharged 5-pot which allows it to keep up with the 3 MPS, but without the major FWD repercussion of torque steer. Granted at lower speeds the MPS is a great car but frankly it can't match the ST, Megane or even it's lower-spec sibling the SP23 for fun and usability. 260hp through the front wheels isn't really the best of ideas. Meanwhile the Suzuki Swift is dead last because it's not even in the same league as the other three. Considering its performance and price it's more supermini than small car.

UNLESS YOU HAVE LOTSA MONEY TUCKED AWAY FOR FUTURE REPAIRS, I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM THE FOCUS OR ANY OTHER FORD. BASED ON MY RESEARCH INTO CARS, I WOULD GO WITH THE MAZDA 3. THEY ARE LIKE THE ENERGIZER BUNNY,THEY KEEP GOING, AND GOING,AND GOING!!!!! : > ) EVERY MAZDA OWNER I HAVE SPOKE WITH HAVE ALL SAID GREAT THINGS ABOUT THEM!!!! : > ) I REALLY HAVE NOT HEARD ANY FEEDBACK ON SUZUKI OR RENAULT.
