I agree that the position you sleep in makes all the difference. I am forced to lie on my back due to cervical issues and lurabar ones, but I put two pillows under my knees and that helps immensely. I move slowly in the morning, and usually after a hot shower, and making slow movements to squeegee the shower, towel dry, etc. as well as applying lotion to stiff areas, helps. I go to the YMCA and get in the warm water pool twice a week, walking, doing leg lifts, etc. and that keeps me moving. The key is to keep moving. I believe the quality of your mattress is also very important. You need to have proper support.
