We have two students in our local school system (public). One ADD, one gifted (the child with ADD is bright as a button, too.) We have been trying to contact the school to set the 504 plan for the year for one child and the GSSP (gifted student services plan) for the other. Three calls over the last 2 weeks have produced no return calls. Is this time to contact the superintendent? We have attempted to work with the school principle in the past, but he is an overbearing joke who states there is no money anywhere to provide any services for either child. Help? School starts next week, and this is supposed to be done BEFORE school starts, if I am not mistaken. The epitome of the question is, what next step?
