What can Oil Smell tell you about Engine Condition?

If your Oil smells slightly Gas-like, is that because you put Marvel Mystery Oil in the crankcase, or is it your imagination, or what? Perhaps it is a "Normal" Engine Oil Smell?

Our ability to "Oil Smell" is limited to severe scenarios, such as
Burnt Oil or gasoline diluted oil or milky oil that has mixed with
coolant. We can almost tell as much by looking at the oil and
seeing if any of these undesirable scenarios have taken place!

I dont think the marvel oil did this or made it smell like gas,sounds more like blow by of fuel getting to the oil past the piston rings.There is a small amount of gas that gets by in every engine and it maybe time for a good tune up.
