What can logically make an orb in a photo?

It was really the first time I took a picture with an 'orb' in it. And it was taking up most of the center. my friend saw it from behind me and told me to take another picture in the exact same spot and it wasn't there anymore.

What can make orbs? Sunlight? Glare? What?
 
Lots of things can make an orb. a speck of dust is usually the culprit. or a ghost! but most of the time it isn't a ghost, and you're right about the sunlight glare
