What can I use to stick and release to painted fiberglass?

What can I use to get something to stick and release to painted fiberglass...like a magnet does to painted metal? I have an invention I am creating. I'm using a magnet for the backing for the metal surfaces. I am puzzled on what I can use to get "my invention" to attach like a magnet (does to metal) to painted fiberglass and release without leaving residue etc. So it can be reapplied and taken off. Thank you
