What can I use to stack stereo components?

Does anyone have links to products I can use to create space between my receiver, DVD player, cable box, etc. I've been referring to them as "spacers" but I'm sure that't not correct. I need something to hold me over why I design a corner shelf. I'm also open to feedback on the fans they sell.

I saw a similiar question from 2 years ago but the product link does not fit my needs.
 
You could try some PVC pipe couplers.
Visit your local hardware store and look around the plumbing section.
