my garden gets full sun and some of the leaves on my plants start to wilt and shrivel.

i can't use a tree, and i dont want to spend 80 bucks on those garden net thing that nurseries use. i only need maybe 4 ft by 4ft

can i use burlap or any kind of fabric.

With a little bit of planning, you can use plants themselves.

For example, peas or beans on a trellis (beans are very resistant to sun when planted thickly...the leaves shade the beans) can be used to shade other plants...

A lean-to cucumber trellis can shade lettuces...

Or you *can* just build a tent out of burlap.

Another thing is to try to avoid having the plants wet when the sun is out...those droplets of water can act like magnifying glasses.
