What can I sprinkle in my garden to keep the dogs from pooing in it?

I have a beautiful front yard and front garden area. (flowers and bushes) Well all the damn strays come up and poo in my bark areas, kick and thrash the bark all over the place. Its pretty gross. Every morning I go out there and again the bark is piled up and displaced. What can I put on the bark to keep them out of it?

I am thinking like cyanne (SP) pepper or something.
