I have a 2000 sunfire automatic. It needs its breaks replaced (not just the pads, the rotors too) and the catalytic converter is needing to be replaced soon too. I have been told these repairs cost around $1500. I am going to buy a new car, and I am just wondering what options I have for my old one?
If I take it to a salvage yard, do I recieve any money for it?
Will my car dealer let me trade it in in its condition?
Any other ideas?
P.S. I'm not sure what selling for parts entails, but I do not have room to store two vehicles, so this one has to go!
