There's a program called Early College & I just graduated from it with my 4 year High School Diploma & a 2 year Associates Degreee in the Arts.
I currently work at McDonald's & ill be 18 this coming August & I'm going to look for a better paying job. I didn't go to teh program to get lost in life so is there any jobs that will "upgrade" me in a sense because of the fact I already have 2 years & counting?

Also, to help you guys answer this question I'm going to Cosmetology school in August & will hopefully one day open up my own salon & spa. [I am into piercing & tattooing also but am not licensed & don't really know if i want to be.] I am also majoring in Journalism. & i plan to try to get a job at the postal office near me because since it is a government job they pay more & have more benefits.
Thanks PE2008, you may be a top contributor but your answers suck. It's not funny that I work at McDonald's at all at least I'm working. You could have said nicely that in this economy there's not much you can do with an AA. mkay? & that's all I'm looking for is answers, not a**holes.

AA degrees are really just resume fillers. A lot of colleges will let you let you skip past the gen ed requirements if you have an associate's degree. It may give you some advantage over other job applicants that only have a high school diploma, but because of your age you'll probably be on a level playing field.

Use the early college experience to your advantage and get into a good school. If you made good grades, it will give you a lot more of an edge on other college applicants than other job applicants.

Associates degrees aren't really worth much unless you are in a very specialized field. at best, they help you shave off gen-ed requirements for a Bachelor's degree.

You're already at McDonald's, so you're all set to be a Balloon Artist. Can you fit into one of these Ronald McD clown outfits? This is more or less the only thing you can do with an AA in Art, in this economy.
