sobriety tests? Is there anything I can do to prevent this? Details -

I turned down all breathalizer and sobriety tests.
I was warned that by doing this my drivers license would be suspended.
I have been given 10 days before my license will be suspended.

If anyone has any advice it would be highly appreciated. Also, (I have done some research) if I cannot avoid having my license suspended is there a way I could get authorization to drive to and from school and work? Thanks.

Why did you refuse? Were you guilty? That's how it will look to any judge.

You can't do anything to prevent the license suspension. You knew that when you refused. They might, after several months, give you permission for limited driving.

Or, you could learn to take the bus, walk, ride a bike, carpool. Because at least for some time that's all you will be able to do. To get the school/work thing, you would have to prove you have no other way to get there.

The courts are hard on drunk drivers and the assumption is that you refused because you were drunk. If it's the DMV, they can only follow the rules, which requires suspension.

You should have thought about this before you drove under the influence and refused the tests.
Driving is a privilege, not a right.
