I was in my College-to-Career class today (freshman in highschool), and we did an assignment where we look up different careers. I search cooking and found 'short-order cook'. I did further research and found this kind of job to be pretty interesting. I don't really like perfecting a dish because I'm not that great of a cook (yet), but the idea of preparing dishes quickly appeals to me.
What kind of things can i do/cook to practice some cooking skills or "manual dexterity"?
Could short-order cook be something like a bar, except with sandwiches and such?
