What can I do to make my Toyota Celica quicker?

I have a 2000 Toyota Celica GTS and it's fully stock. Although I like the styling of the car, I have to admit it's a bit sluggish. What can I do specifically to make the car have more torque, be more responsive, and be quicker off the line. Let me know, Thanks.
