What can I do to keep working on dance while I have a hurt knee?

A few weeks ago I hurt my knee (we are guessing a sprain) during ballet. I'm a very avid dancer, and since the hurt knee I have found it almost impossible to sit still. I'm stretching like every extra second, and I'm able to attend a few of my classes but not all of them. I'm forced to wear a brace while dancing though so the movement of my knee is a bit restricted while I dance. While I wait for my knee to get better is there anything other then stretching that I can do to help me improve on dance? I'm finding it almost impossible to not dance, I'm even shopping for dance stuff just to make sure I don't go crazy!!! haha. Thanks everyone!
 
i´ll advice you to not to dance because when you mess up your knee now in the furture you wouldnt be able to dance at all
 
Never mess around when it comes to your knee. Schedule a visit with a doctor or knee specialist and have it looked at. knee pain is fickle, it could be a lot worse than it seems or nothing at all. so don't take the risk. stay off of it as much as possible.

I was starting MLB for our varsity football team and i hurt my knee. I didnt think it was bad cause i could still walk and run, it just hurt and would swell up. So i kept playing until my knee swelled to the size of a melon. turns out i tore my MCL and hyper stretched all my ligaments. It required major surgery to repair my knee, which is still not as could as it used to be.
 
like everyone else is saying,
you shouldnt dance with a bumbed knee

it worsens your knee
you could possible not dance
or
the healing process would take even longer

i know what you mean by you not wanting to stop dancing but sometiems youve got to take a break
