what can i do so my storm 2 locks/unlocks like its supposed to?

whenever i want to lock/unlock my strom 2 9550 sometimes it takes for me to tap it repeatedly many times until it does lock. or i press it and 2 secs later it does what its suppose to. any suggestions?
