I had a car accident 4 years ago, a car drove into my rear. At the scene, I mentioned to my partner that my ankle hurt but we didn't seek medical help. The problem is, I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and everyone presumed I'd aggravated my illness in the crash, hence the pain in my foot.
For the past 4 years I have been in terrible pain but again put it down to a "normal" flare up of my Rheumatoid, the more pain I suffered, the more blame the Rheumatoid got. I just took extra painkillers and found easier ways of doing daily tasks.
Now 4 years on, I've been for an X-Ray and found out that I have Severe Osteoarthritis due to trama suffered to my foot.
I'm in agony but I have no case to claim any compensation, have I? I feel like such an idiot. I never lost any work over the past 4yrs as I'm self employed and I have to work to live and now I have no proof needed to make a claim, especially this late in the day.
I feel hopeless...
