What can I do in the real world after graduating with a history degree?

Some details: I do not like handling people. I have terrible social skills. My greatest concern is not knowing if a job is out there waiting for me.

My major is currently history but I'm minoring in chemistry in case of a possible fallback from a "history" career in the academia
 
Be a teacher. no matter what job you get, you're gonna have to develop social skills.

try waiting tables for a while to get used to talking to strangers all the time.
