ok, my five month old baby has been having night terrors. i thought at first there was a ghost or something in his room scaring him or messing with him. sounds silly but it wouldnt be the first time. so i pulled him in the bedroom with me to sleep. after about an hour, i heard him lightly whining in his sleep which turned into heavy crying. all of this is in his sleep. he then started screaming. so how do i deal with this? he is so young so i am not sure what i can do.

It could be a gas bubble in his little tummy...My son cries out in his sleep sometimes and if I pick him up, he burps and then sleeps great for the rest of the night...Just make sure he's been burped well before laying him down to sleep...

I think its something else... Mabye tummy pains or teething pains. He is 5 months old. My baby woke up in in sleep screaming last night not sure why but Im thinking he is teething and in allot of pain. Somtimes its his tummy. I'll pick him up and he'll burb and he's better in a few.

Are you sure it's night terror? Make sure before you get freaked out.
Perhaps a nightlight or a comfy toy nearby will help
In fact, maybe you should sleep by him or put him on your bed for a few nights. Babies like to know someone is there near them.

Take him to the psychologist because it's most likely a mental problem your child is experiencing because dreams are influenced by thoughts.
