what can happen if you under power your subs?

i have 2 15" kicker L7's 2 ohm dvc and a kicker zx1000.1 im wondering if something will go wrong this amp is only a temporary amp and i should be getting a kicker zx2500.1 when i have the money saved up. can something go wrong? or will it just be under powering to subs by a lot
