What can be done when getting your car fixed to avoid the hazardous material charges and "shop supplies"? It seems they use a squirt of 5 cent oil and charge you $3 for shop supplies. Recently had my CV Joint and boot on car replaced and it seems they stuck it to me with these bogus fees.

Well, you could do the work yourself.

These "bogus fees" are part of the cost of operating a for profit Business and have much to do with Fed/State/local regulations and taxes. A tax by any other name is still a tax!

Remember this when you step into the voting booth!
