I may soon be inheriting my parents' 1996 Toyota 4Runner when they buy a new car. It would become my daily driver. Its an SR5 V6 Auto 4WD. However, I find it lacking, mainly in acceleration. Is there anything I can do to remedy that?
Now, I'm not looking for a race car, just something I can enjoy driving. It has 126k, and no signs of engine or transmission problems.
I have seen the TRD supercharger for this engine (3.4L), but it is far too much for my current budget. Are there currently any natural aspiration solutions, such as intake, exhaust, or anything I can add to the engine.
Lastly, please do not suggest things like engine swaps...or getting a newer car, because my budget is extremely limited right now, and this could be a great car for me.
