...answer question? i am 5 ft exactly and going into seventh grade. i weigh 78 pounds. i know im skinny and i always havee been which is part of the reason that i have back problems and knee problems. i hate sports so plz dont suggest that but idlike to get a better more toned body. also btw i am not anorexic i eat a lotand i have a good shape not sticklike ish i just wondering wat i could do no sports. i also was wondering from other skinny medium height girls wat looks good on our bodies clothes wise.
 
If by toned you mean get like a better body with some figure..then i suggest a very simple method which anyone can do.
Go to your couch or armchair or whatever, put your palms on the armrests. you should be in some what of a leaning position at an angle to the couch.
Push up with your arms and clap while you fall back towards the couch. Repeat whenever you're free, but around 5 sets of 10-20 is ideal.

Im giving you this advice since i myself hate sports like crazy, but doing this for a couple of months and i have killer arms and a good body. Try it =)
 
You need to eat more protiens and carbs to gain the weight you need and as for exercises, Swimming is the most effective and has no joint pains. there is no pounding or compression on the joints and lap swimming for 5 minutes is about equal to running three miles. This is actual lap swimming however.
