What can a shy girl do to become less shy in college?

Don't change. Just be yourself with people and eventually you may become less shy the more you do stuff with friends.

join a club or take classes that require Communication or meat a guy who will take you out of your shell but don't get a jackass get a nice creative person like me =)

i am in college in a different state so i as well don't know many people, and it is different than grade school where u are force to meet people, my best advice is to just be yourself and try to talk to people in class, go out with your roommates on weekends and try to meet 1 person you can relate with, once you found someone you are comfortable with go out with this person and you will feel more relaxed and thus meet more and more people

dont go out to parties, you will only meet drunken idiots out there. to find respectable guys, look around in your classes, see the somewhat intelligent, mild mannered guys and just start talking to them, more times then not, theyre just too shy to talk to you.
