...another polygamist? II Samuel 12:11

"Thus saith the God, I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them to a neighbor; and he shall lie with thy wives in sight of the sun."

Question: What business did God have taking a man's wives from him and giving them to another polygamist? What was God thinking?

Yeah, well so what if he was doing it as a punishment? Taking someone's wives is never an appropriate punishment, especially giving them to some other guy --

Anybody got a better explanation than that?
