with out attaining enlightment? Ok iam from india and iam a hindu. I know all relgions are good. But i like buddha and his teachings.but i have some questions about buddha and his teachings....
1) according to buddha, for attaining nirvana to end birth cycles, we need to leave worldly life and meditate daily until we reach enlightment(basic and exact form of buddhism) OR we may work for enlightment even by having family which is called "madhya yana" or "middle path" !
So if i choose to follow buddhism, what if i try for enlightment all this life and finally if iam unable to attain nirvana, then what is the use of this life. Will it be useful for me in my next life??
And also it is not so easy to control our mind to concentrate on our breath for meditating.... So what buddha said about HOW TO CONTROL OUR MIND WHICH IS VERY COMPLEX AND NOT EASY FOR NORMAL HUMAN. AND WHAT IF I CHOOSE TO FOLLOW IN THIS LIFE BY LEAVING WORLDLY LIFE AND MEDITATING DAILY( this is practically impossible tough) AND FINALLY DIE WITHOUT ATTAINING NIRVANA?? HOW CAN I HOPE THAT I WILL REMEMBER IN NEXT LIFE THAT, I FOLLOWED BUDDHISM IN THIS LIFE??
Please tell me if you read any where about buddha's sayings about this!
2)and have you seen anyone who left the home in search of enlightment? if so what was the result?? have they come back to their home again?? and do you know any monks who practice buddhism and meditation?? if so how do they get their daily needs like food,etc.....??
and is it possible to earn some money by doing some job and being a monk at the same time??( to be independent on others like buddhist trusts etc.. for daily needs)
