What browser is safer? IE, Chrome or Firefox?

i used FF and chrome for the past 3yrs, no viruses, spyware, Trojans, worms, (nothing), i used IE9 for 2 weeks and got infected with really bad stuff!!!, i should use FF again? or chrome?
