ALL Navy recruits go to Basic at Great Lakes. NO ONE other than Officer Candidates have a choice to go to boot camp before or after completing NROTC/OCS. AIIR is NOTHING like BUD/S. BUD/S is Basic Underwater Demolition/ SEALs which is on 10 different levels from AIIR. no disrespect for AIIR or any other branch but BUD/S is the toughest and longest training of any branch. going to BUD/S is like getting kicked in the balls with steel toed boots after a cold shower. sorry dude but AIIR is NOT like BUD/S.
