what books will i need for an electrotechnology apprenticeship?

i have started an apprenticeship as a telecommunications technician (electrotechnology) and i feel as tho i should read over some of the books before i begin going to the courses just to get a head start
can some one please tell me what books i will need for the first and second year
(i live in queensland Australia probably needs to be state of country specific)
