ummm books that ive read and enjoyed are:
the 5 people you meet in heaven by Mitch Albom
Tuesdays with morrie by mitch albom
goodnight mister tom by ????
ummmm
dont say twilight or harry potter!!!

Try Ranger's Apprentice by John Flanagan.
Or the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini.
Narnia and stuff by Stephen R. Lawhead is also really good.

Hope that helped!

My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult is a phenomenal book, far better than the movie. By the looks of your other choices, it seems as though you're into tragedy novels, things that make you tear up! Tuesdays with Morrie is one of my all-time favorite stories as well. Also, a classic, Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls.

Jodi Picoult is an awesome author to research though, because her stories are typically sad, but gripping. I recommend all of her work!

You should try reading "A child called it" i forgot the author, but it's a good book =)

I recommend the book "1984" by by George Orwell. In a nutshell, it deals with how one massive governing body has nearly complete control over the population and keeps constant watch. Individuality is frowned upon by this society. If you are into books that border on science fiction and science fact, check this one out.
