What BlackBerry should I get?

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to get my mom to buy me a phone and she wants me to decide between a BlackBerry and a Regular Phone through Alltel. I told her that I wanted a BlackBerry. She told me that I need to now find out what BlackBerry Phone I should get, but I never knew that there were so many types of BlackBerry Phones out there. I only thought that there were the BlackBerry World Edition and the BlackBerry Curve. I went on the site and found out that there are like NINE types of phones! But as most of you know that Alltel only carries five of these nine I had a ton of thinking to do. Now I have thought long and hard about it and I have decided on two phones that I would like to decide on.

The First is the: BlackBerry? Tour? 9630
Features on Alltel Network: Text Messaging, IMing, Picture Messaging, TV, Music Connect, Games, Tones & Wallpaper, Email, and Web.
Pros: Has the new BlackBerry OS which I love!
Cons: The thing is $149.99*!


The Second is the: BlackBerry? CurveTM 8330
Features on Alltel Network: Text Messaging, IMing, Music Connect, Games, Tones & Wallpaper, Email, and Web
Pros: its cheaper (at $49.99*)
Cons: Doesn't have Picture Messaging and I feel that its not the best :(

Help me choose what one to get please!
 
Both have picture messaging. The Tour is a lower level phone, think entry level. The Tour is the more advanced phone, and that is why it is expensive. They both will accomplish the exact same thing. The Tour has a newer OS, and should be updated soon to 5.0, while the Curve will likely never see that.

If you have to choose between those two, I would go with the Tour. Better OS, better camera, better screen, better resolution, better overall phone. I have owned both, and the Tour wins hands down.
 
Thanks so much for the information! :3 I had no idea that the Curve could send picture messages because on Alltel's site they say that it cant. But again thanks for the information.
