...riding experience? I want to buy my son a motocross bike for mainly fun use around our field and around the local lanes(this is normal in France) but i am a road rider and have no idea about off road bikes.He has no experience of riding a bike and is 11 years old and is 1.5metres tall weighing approx 40 kilos,I am intending to buy a secondhand bike in the UK,any help would be helpful.
 
Bring your kid to all the motorcycle dealers in your area and let him sit on the bikes.
The most important thing when buying a first bike is to make sure you can handle it (not to big for you).
Ask a salesman for help and advice.
Then buy a used bike of that model.
