I would suggest may be a trek 4500 or around there. That's going to be near the same price. I ride an older 4900, but it's pretty much the same as my dad's newer 4500. It is a hard tale, but I like it and it's got a pretty good climbing capability.
I bought an Iron Horse from sports authority for $350 w/ retail of $650. It gave me problems and I think the frame was too big so I returned it. I am looking for a bike that I can ride in the street and do some beginner to intermediate mountain biking. I have read that for under $1000 I could only get a hard tailed bike. What would you recommend?
