What besides a cd deck do i need for a basic sound system for a 2005 Nissan Altima 2.5S?

I want to upgrade the stock system and so I was looking for a stereo deck but obviously the output will for the most part remain the same if i dont change the speakers (esp since one of the back ones is kind of blown) how many speakers do i need and what kinds?(6x9,etc) btw i dont want amps or anything, its just a basic system that will beat the stock by leaps and bounds.. i was already looking for a pioneer deck and speakers so if you could take me in the right direction that would be perfect.
