What benefits are you entitled in the us navy when you are married before shipping out..

...to boot camp? Me and my girlfriend are planning to get married via courthouse before I get shipped out to boot camp. I wanted to know what benefits am I entitled too? Dependence pay? BAH? BAS?

Is it best to be married before taking the asvab and going through MEPS to be entitled to benefits?
 
When you get married make little if any difference, once you are married you are entitled to DEPENDENT not dependence pay and I suspect some form of BAH and BAS while in basic to support your wife while in basic and AIT.

The biggest issue is you have apparently joined as single and will need further documentation with you when you enlist to correct your records and it may delay your enlistment slightly.
