What author has had the most books turned into movies?

Off the top of my head I'd say Charles Dickens. I think nearly all of his books have been turned into films. Now, many of those were made for TV films so you may not want to count those.

In terms of Hollywood big screens flicks obviously the series books like Harry Potter and Twilight have or will have a large number, but really that drivel doesn't count as 'books' anyway. Only slightly better would be the Kings, Crichtons, and Grishams of the world. Still pop lit but better, slightly.

In terms of serious authors, Cormac McCarthy now has three (All The Pretty Horses, No Country For Old Men, The Road) and I understand they're working on Blood Meridian (which is a crying shame because there is no way they can turn that masterpiece into a movie).

Probably Stephen King or maybe John Grisham. Those are the first that come to mind
