I wasn't aware of any female TV / radio sports broadcasters left feeling inadequate in their journalism careers. Who are these journalists???
The ones I know--and I DO know a few of them---present an impressive confidence in their reports on sports that ALMOST equals their male colleagues.
And I say this because....well.....let's be realistic here: Women do NOT play NFL football, MLB or Hockey. So how can female sports reporters speak on these sports they can't fully relate to like their fellow male broadcasters can?? This is resonantly seen during football season, when female sports journalists report from the field sidelines.
