What are your thoughts on a Ducati GT1000 versus a Triumph Street Triple?

Looking to buy one of the two.? I'm looking to buy one of these two bikes and like them both. If you have had experience with either, please post your thoughts.
 
An italian retro gentleman's ride vs the Brit hooligan special? Liking them both is fine: I like the Harley Cross Bones and the MV Agusta RR312. That doesn't mean they are directly comparable. Neither are yours.

You will just have to buy them both. Tell your wife I said so.
