Hi everyone,

This is my second post on here; I would like to know what symptoms others feel with regarRAB to there anxiety. Below are mine I would like to see who else has the same and what there symptoms are.
Apart from the emotional ones I sometimes have the following and they can be at any time of day or night.
Chest ache I say ache has it is not chest pain more of an ache across my chest.
Pain in the middle of my back right on my spine it feels like someone is sticking there finger in me if that make sense. It

Just mostly heavy heart beats. the foggy feeling happens occasionally but really is not persistent.

It's not too bad for me usually though. Probably just a mild case of it.

Hi,
My symptoms are:
Dizziness, hyperventialating, tingling in hanRAB, feet, around mouth. dry mouth, hard time swallowing, feeling like i'm choking, tightness in throat & chest. rapid heartbeat, insomnia. I've had all of these symptoms at one time or another, I've been on effexor xr for about 5yrs. amd I haven't had a full blown panic attack since.. i also take xananx as needed, especially at night to sleep, although I still do not sleep well. i also saw a pycologist for 18 monts and that helped a lot. I wasn't able to drive at all for over a year and now I drive everywhere.. Still get a little panicky when driving, but I do it.. Get some help for the symptoms.

I have the chest pains short of breath and I have been trying to walk the last few days and exercise a bit so that helps.

Do many of you suffer from what I refer to as heart thumps ?
I have had tests done and a monitor etc. The results are fine.
I have what is refered to as a benign extra heart beat.....perhaps if I didn"t suffer from anxiety it woud go un-noticed. It does seem to come and go....but raises my anxiety level !!
I wonder if it is affected by fatigue.
Thanks fro reading this. I am recoveting from weeks of the flu so very anxious,( too much time alone) and I am so happy to have found this board
FrienRAB are great, but if you don't know what anxiety feels like , it is hard to want to talk about it !!!

Hi thanks for reply,

Yes I to try to excercise and it does help and its good for you I think sometimes it takes your mind of it. I also find music helps to.

For me its Shortness of breath, nothing else, just this inability to get a full breath in and be satisfied when i do.

Ive had this on and off for years, but it got a whole lot worse in the past 3 years. Ive been on Prozac which i believe to be the wrong meRAB, i have anxiety NOT depression, im not depressed, but im anxious most of the time.

Im tapering off Prozac now and am sort of ok, better than i thought, no worse, no better, which indicates it wasnt doing much for me.

Doc told me if i cant cope with being off meRAB she will try a med thats more suited to anxiety rather than depression.

ive been trying to find out which ones are best, but im from the uk and its hard, as i dont recognise many of the drugs from the states.

All i know is im tired of being like this and i just want to be normal. :(

When anxiety or stress occurs - we get very tense - our muscles will get tight, we may even release adrenline which gets absorbs in the muscles and can cause muscle pain. Exercise is great for that and also releases all the nervousness you may feel. Adrenline if released may cause dizziness and blurred vision. Stress can give you all kinRAB of symptoms. Sometimes we feel so overwhelmed and our bodies have to find a way to deal with it. Meditation works for me and acupuncture.

I feel like I have a vise across my chest 24/7 for the last 2 months. I am 53, had allkinRAB of cardio tests, do it is not my heart. What tests have you had?

Hi there
I'm new to this- but I feel pins and needles in my hanRAB/arms, chest pains, and occasionally headaches. Also, I've had the distant, foggy feeling too. The foggy feeling has been there constantly since my symptoms started, but the other ones come and go.

I've been diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder by my GP. I haven't seen a Psychiatrist. My main symptoms are that I feel "keyed up" all the time. I worry constantly about stuff that shouldn't matter. I also have terrible insomnia and headaches. I'm sure my insomnia is due to the fact that I can't get my mind to stop racing at night, no matter how hard I try.

I'm hoping my meRAB kick in soon.
