What are your opinions on the shirt and neck tie colors for the groom and groomsmen?

i havent been able to find info or pictures on this setup, but this is what my fiancee and i were thinking for an idea of colors. we're not doing tuxes; just formal/dress clothing:

Men: All will have black shoes and black pants
Groom: Black shirt and White (or maybe silver) Tie
Groomsmen: White shirts and Black Ties
Boutonnieres: Yellow/Red

Bride: White Dress w/ Tropical bouquet (Yellow/Red based)
Bridesmaids: Black dresses & heels w/ Single Large Pearl & Silver chain necklaces.
Flowers: Tropical, Yellow, and Red

what do you think of this setup? and mostly about the groom/groomsmen setup (basically opposites from the waist up). any feedback, suggestions, or links to photos will be appreciated!

I'm sorry but I don't understand black at a wedding. It's the one day of your life when you can really go overboard and have something totally different from everyday stuff. A lot of people wear black almost every day, so I don't find it different or special.
 
I agree with others about the bridesmaids outfit. It's doesn't seem to go with everything else and sounds more goth like.

lol sorry with out pictures we have no clue what specifics your thinking, it starts out sounding soft and elegants (red and a yellow color match for the bride) then it turns goth and goddy (big beads! YUCK and a black dress to boot, well if you want the ugly bridesmaids then go for it! a lot of people are attention go getters for their own weddings, me personally I would want everything to be beautiful so I could have a perfect wedding, but more people hold spite than I do)


you better get the same colors for your bridesmaids as yourself... you wear a white dress and get the red/yellow flowers, then get their dresses with a red/yellow combination somehow, and have your honey put one red and one yellow (small) flowers on his jacket (or just a red tie? and a yellow flower?? perhaps that is better? less goddy)

click on dress your wedding. you can make avatars of your bridal party and dress them to see what your ideas look like. very handy tool. thats how I picked my colours. i made 5 different looks and emailed them to my mum and all my bridesmaids to get opinions. its much easier to say you like an idea when you can see it.
