I think they should totally do it! He/She was the only one that didn't wear bikini bottom. I understand that you might feel uncomfortable wearing them but, hers/his went all the way down to the knees. I don't know but i totally agree they should give her/him a test. If it is a girl then good luck in Belin in 2012!!!!

I disagree. Yes she is built like a man, and has boyish features, but still..the way I see it. If she's got a Vagina then let her run
(Sorry to be so literal)

Plus, shorts seem way more comfortableto run in than bikinis.
Do you see how they pinch up in their azz while running ( yeah, so not comfy)

I don't agree with the tests, but I think it should be done to get it over with and stop all the speculation. If it turns out Semenya is transgendered or was born with both male and female parts/hormones, then I'm not sure I'll agree with her being forced to stop competing. It's not fair that she has to stop doing what she loves because of something she can't help but be.

I think it's preposterous to test her only after she won the race. The doubters should have had to question it before the race.

But, any time there's a "gender confusion" involved in these sporting events, reasonable analysis always suggests the single best course of action: Make women and men compete together.

Most people think we should be able to get a nurse to look at someone naked and say M or F, but the gender test involves several different evaluations: genetic, anatomic, even the say-so of a psychiatrist! It is entirely a subjective judgment by a group of "experts". The reason of course is that sex or gender are both themselves subjective terms. Is it the body parts you have or the genetic make-up that make you one or the other? Usually they go hand in hand and there is universal agreement. BUT not all the time, especially when it comes to women of extraordinary physical attributes...predictably.

For example, there are people with XY chromosomes who appear female, and all sorts of anomalies. Solution: make all the freaks...excuse me ATHLETES...compete with each other.

It's a common thing with female 800 meter runners, it seems. Before her Shanti Sounderrajan of India was stripped of her silver from the Doha Asian Games 800 meters for failing a gender test. It's a Lady GaGa situation. And if she's a guy, do you remember what Maria Mutola of Mozambique looked like. Another 800 runner, or Kelly Holmes of Great Britain.
