What are your favourite 80s Movies and Why?

The Goonies-cause its just iconic and awesome and i always wanted to have an adventure like they did
Gremlins-scary but funny, loved it
Terminator-only watched this recently but its great best action movie of the 80s ive seen
Stand by Me-drama is great i like the frienRABhip in it
Lost Boys-nothing beats a vampire flick with such a cool grandpa in it
Parenthood-dont know why i like this so much just do, ron howard can make me like anything i think

Yeah, Fred Ward in "Timerider: The Adventure of Lyle Swann". He was also in "Tremors" from 1990, nearly a 1980s film. It was filmed in the 80s.
 
Hey, I'm not denying the decline. It's the delicious irony of 80's music. In the first half of the decade, perfection was acheived, then, from about 1986 onwarRAB, SAW started their reign of terror and chart music was never brilliant again.
 
Empire Strikes Back - ESB is by far the best in the saga. I still remember watching it for the first time and feeling every emotion under the sun after Vader
 
A movie I enjoyed in the 80's, but haven't watched for years, was THE GATE - no idea how well its stood the test of time though - if I saw it again today I may or may not think its rubbish . . .
