Little Women is one of my all time favorite movies. I love the art direction and the dialogue is amazing.

Just now are the movie I like to se The fast and fuis toxio drift sorry bad english and a danish movie named dreams Like something like that

musicals are just so fun to re-watch especially when you learn the songs and are able to sing along with them.

My all-time favorite movies are The Sound of Music (how can you go wrong with a classic?), Mermaids (I like the moody feel), My Girl, Little Women (no other period piece can compare), Now and Then (it makes me wish I grew up in the seventies), The Parent Trap, Girl, Interrupted, Little Miss Sunshine (an exhilarating motion picture experience), and Penelope. I also love Flash of Genius. I'm a big Lauren Graham fan and this was her best work last year (in my humble opinion).

Grease is my all time fav. I fell in love with it when I was a little girl and my dad took me to the drive in to see it. It's one of the few movies I could watch every day. The music, the style, everything about the movie is great.

I also love Breakfast At Tiffany's and Gone With the Wind. Two more timeless movie.

Babette's Feast is my favorite film. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092603/

It's like a song, like a good novel, like a piece of poetry all at the same time. Its from a short story by Issac Dinisen (sp) the female novelist who's life is depicted in another of my favortie films, "Out of Africa." Well in "Out of Africa" she's known as a great storyteller. You can just throw out ideas like popcorn and she could weave an epic tale that could grasp hold of your heart and leave you in tears.

Well Babette's Feast is as though one person said, "Two Lutheran sisters in Demark!" And another person said, "A renowned french Chef!" And another person said, "A famous opera singer!" And so on... and she weaved this beautiful tale.

It's just magical. It just warms my heart! It's slow paced and not in English but I've never been moved by a film the way this filmed moved me. What a wonderful experience I had watching this for the first time!

Amelie is another film that really was uplifting for me... but in a more superficial way than Babette's Feast.

Amelie is just a feast for the eyes and ears. Gorgeous colors, wonderful music... It's just a movie alive with wonderful imagery and delightful, vivid, spicy characters. Yum! It's good. And romantic and funny...

Out of Africa is an epic romance. Robert Redford, Meryl Streep, sweeping views of the African landscape! Fantastic Musical Score! Ahhhh! A romance for the ages! I defy you not to cry and not to hum the music afterwards. LOL!

I love the Princess Bride. It fulfills all of the wishes of a fairy tale fantasy while being hilariously funny at the same time. There's really nothing else to say. It's one of the best romantic comedies EVER!

I could go on forever... I'll come back later.

Yep, Groundhog Day (as obsession as an art form says), which is a fantastic film! :D

Just posting to remind everyone - please do not post lists. I realize those who posted them were newbies and probably unaware of the board-specific rules, so I encourage you all to read them (posted at the top of each page).

However, if we see more lists we're going to temporarily close the thread until everyone complies. We're not trying to be punitive, we're just trying to promote actual discussion (which lists absolutely do not do).

Thanks! And please don't take this personally, especially the newbies - we often have to say this and it's not aimed at anyone in particular.
:)

I love movies and re-watching my faves when I can, but I don't have time to do so as much as I would like.

Musicals and comedies are probably the types of movies I re-watch more than anything else.

Bumping this up for 1Brittany and anyone else who wants to share.

I'll have to think about this and get my list going....

It'll definitely include Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Roman Holiday and Moulin Rouge!

Quarterback Princess It is by far one of my favorite movies of all time. So heartwarming. So inspirational. I loved it! Its about a girl named Tami Maida who against all odds plays quarterback at her high school. She encounters a lot of criticism, nonetheless she decides to follow her heart and continues to perserve. Its a great movie. Its shows no matter what you have to follow the beat of your heart.

I dont get a chance to watch my favourite movies all the times, I just watch them whenever they are on, which means Ive seen Moulin Rouge 6 times so far (its on again tonight in two hours, so by tomorrow it will be 7, I might even watch the rerun if theres nothing else on!) and Ive seen Speed around 12 times, though they arent my most favourite movies.
Ive watched the original star wars trilogy (which are my favourite movies)plus episode 6, twice each but Ive seen episode one and two more about 4 times I think. though I prefer the ones Ive seen only once!

Lord of the Rings. It's just epic. I will be interested to see how well it stands the test of time

^ Haha I lOVED she's the man.. She came up with some of the randomest things to say when she was playin Sebastian.

I loved the scene where she first tries to take a shower, and she's like to the guy "Word G man" or whatever I can't exactly remember what she says. But anyway I loved that part.

Rent is my favorite movie. I love musicals, alot. And then Titanic and The Notebook will always be movies that I could watch over and over again.
