I have always been taught that when you hear the national anthem played, you should stand at attention, and salute (if you're in the military) or remove your hat and place your hand over your heart (if you're a civilian), but what are you supposed to do if it comes on the radio? The radio station I frequently listen to plays the national anthem daily at noon, and I am usually driving in the car or working around the house. Are you supposed to pull over or stop what you're doing? What is the protocol on this?
