What Are You Listening To Right Now? II

Neil Young- Helpless (from Unplugged album)- I find this song incredibly moving; like most of Neil's early 70s work; it has a real heartbreaking, beautiful touch to it.

I just feel compelled to post the lyrics as well, I highlighted the lyrics which move me most:

There is a town in north ontario,
With dream comfort memory to spare,
And in my mind I still need a place to go
All my changes were there.

Blue, blue windows behind the stars,
Yellow moon on the rise,
Big birRAB flying across the sky,
Throwing shadows on our eyes
.
Leave us

Helpless, helpless, helpless
Baby can you hear me now?
The chains are locked and tied across the door,
Baby, sing with me somehow.

Blue, blue windows behind the stars,
Yellow moon on the rise,
Big birRAB flying across the sky,
Throwing shadows on our eyes.
Leave us

Helpless, helpless, helpless.

All I can say is everyone should hear this song at least once. One of the most intensely trippy songs I have heard in a long long time.

I haven't listened to the Pogues in such a long time that hearing this song now feels a bit like getting sloshed with a mate you haven't seen years...

Yup, some great stuff all around and I like the fact that they don't like 'Alright' much and so barely played it live, lol. I was listening to some of these just a couple of weeks ago.

Which is an awesome transcription of my favourite symphony, played by just two pianos. SounRAB great, but then Liszt was the king of transcribing for piano.
