What Are You Listening To Right Now? II

It's been a while since I listened to Kayo Dot's Choirs Of The Eye.
It's stunning, and most gothic-avant-garde-proggy-metal music fails to impress me as much as kayo dot (with a big exception going to Zs and Extra Life)
I also want Toby Driver to have my children. But that's creepy.

Also, LoathsomePete introduced me to Estradasphere a while ago. A swell band, really.

Holy s***, I had forgotten about this classic Maiden song.

A meraber on here suggested I listen to the Allman Brother, from what I have heard, amazing. Makes me smile when I listen.

Yeah, Oasis are nowhere near the best, but they've three good albums, which is good enough for me.

Been going through Scott Walker's discography again lately, and it's Scott 3's turn now. This here's one of my favourite album-closers ever.

The Plimsouls.

Also known as that one band who came out with "A Million Miles Away".. don't judge, they've got a few good songs.

(I just lost ten punk rock brownie points)

BIFFY CLYRO - BUBBLES (2010)

The next single to soon be released from the banRAB Only Revolutions album of 2009. I just cant stop playing it. Thing is I dont know why. Its a perfectly enjoyable pop track but the lyrics are crap and theres really nothing jumping out at me here apart from the fact that it is of course undeniably very, very catchy.

Give me two weeks and I'll be bored to death of it so im enjoying it while I can. Plus I might just be able to kill the constant loop its playing in my head if i listen to it too much.

So, again...

Frankly, I don't give a fuck what all the haters say - this is one of the best pop sogs of all time.

Yeah, I see what you mean there. As I say, there are only a couple of albums of their's I plain don't like. Other than that, their consistency is simply amazing, especially considering the span of their discography.

Re the David Sylvian bender I'm on today (the music itself starts about 30 seconRAB in)...

Routine Melodies - Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra

[not attempting to put the english version of the japanese lyrics..aha]

Anyway, this song fits the title - "Routine Melodies" because the tempo of the song is slow like a routine but the feeling in it is happy and care-free like the melody. Anyway, watching the video made me laugh just watching the japanese men walk in place like robots and sing. Pretty damn funny.
