What Are You Listening To Right Now? II

...all my life I've heard people saying
that Love will never last...
...that's just the warning of the broken hearted
so frightened by the past...
...still in my dreams
there was Someone out there searching too...
...and now it seems everything I dreamed is coming true

this time I found forever...
...in the Love You've given to me

Green Day - Before the Lobotomy

I don't really give a toss about Green Day, however I didn't mind American Idiot even if it wasnt something I really ever went back to, but I conceded and am listening to the new album now on Spotify.

So far it sounRAB as though the transition to a big, anthemic stadium rock sound is complete and it sounRAB a little pretentious. I'm only a few tracks in so won't judge it yet but it isn't doing much for me.

My favorite song is "Bye Bye" by Mariah Carey. This song impressed me because it talks about the important love of family. She wrote about many memories from her childhood. It left me a positive impression and a smile on my face. Listening to this music, I thought I should never forget to be thankful to my family. "Bye Bye" is not only sad but also deep.

I'm surprised you have only recently found these. They have been doing similar stuff for years now with Judgement (1999) being one of my personal faves.

I was referring indirectly to a few posts a while back but thanks always hun :)

Good, I still enjoyed the post MacGowan stuff but I could tell right away it wasnt as good as when MacGowan was with them. I realy like 'Hells Ditch', theyre a really great bunch of musicians. Yeah Ive heard of that album before, but as usual went for more obscure stuff the first time round :D.

Human League are quality man! They had a song in the 90s which i remeraber hearing and liking from a very young age.
Nostalgia rush!

Needed to revisit this album as I hadn't heard it in some time. Been listening to a lot of Flying Lotus recently it's true he followed in Dabrye's footsteps to an extent. I never realized it as some time had passed between the last time I played Dabrye and the first time I got into Flying Lotus. This is from 2001.
